About the artist and gallery

Woodwick Gallery is a studio art gallery offering you a chance to view the work of David Pierce, who is usually on-site working in his studio or workshop.

Growing up in Worcester and Malvern, David studied Fine Art in the nineteen seventies, gaining a first-class honours degree. He has been working as an artist ever since.

He has moved between Herefordshire, Sussex, West Cumbria and Orkney, drawing inspiration from the landscapes he lives in and the wildlife he lives alongside.

He works in the mediums of oil painting and wood sculpture although in the past he has also worked in illustration – as well as many years’ experience working in colleges as an art tutor.
